The link will not load. Here is the order to check.
1. Rule out your own setup first
Most "the market is down" moments are local.
- Is your Tor Browser current? Old builds break on protocol changes, and the failure looks exactly like a dead site. Update and restart.
- Try a new circuit. Tor Browser menu, New Circuit. Then reload.
- The first load after a circuit change is the slow one. 20 to 60 seconds on a blank page is normal, not a crash.
If it loads on the second or third try, you are done. Nothing was wrong.
2. The address may be stale
The market rotates its mirrors. An address that loaded last week can be retired this week. If the address you have is no longer the current one, it will stall or refuse to connect, and there is nothing wrong with the market.
Get the current set from the mirrors page (mirrors.html). Then re-check the copy. A 56-character string loses characters in the middle easily, especially if you copied it from a chat window that wrapped the line. Copy again, from the button, not by selecting the text.
3. The address may be a typo or a clone
If you typed the address by hand, or copied it from a forum quote, a chat message, or one of the "link" sites that is not this one, re-copy it from the mirrors page.
Quick checks on whatever string you have:
- It starts with "mars".
- It is 56 characters before .onion.
- The last six characters match the one on the mirrors page.
Any of those failing means you are not looking at a current address.
4. The gate itself
If the page loads but the gate's printed address does not match your address bar, you are not looking at the market. That is the clone case. The black card, the red text, the masked characters, all of it can be copied. The printed address is the thing that cannot.
Close the tab. Go back to the mirrors page. Re-copy. The full clone walkthrough is on the phishing page (phishing.html).
5. All three fail at once
If all three current addresses stall, from two different networks (your home connection and your phone on cellular), the market side is under load or in the middle of a rotation. There is nothing to do but wait and re-check the current set later.
This site does not monitor the onions. It makes no requests to them. So it cannot tell you "it is up right now". If you want a live status, you have to try the address yourself.
6. A deposit when things look wrong
Do not re-login on the page that looks wrong. Do not re-deposit from a different-looking page. Wait for the current set to load cleanly, pass the gate, confirm the address bar, then check the account.
Deposits go to an address the market generates. If the page generating it is not the market, you do not want that address.
